M & C gets bigger down under

Melbourne-based Creative Energy Solutions and ETT GmbH operating out of Freisbach in Germany were bought for undisclosed amounts but will certainly boost M&C's turnover and global profile. It now buys £4bn of energy for 3,500 of the worlds biggest energy users in 40 countries and the new acquistions are part of a wider M&C strategy.

Simon Northrop, CEO of M&C, said: "Creative Energy Solutions is the country's leading energy consultancy servicing a significant share of Australia's largest energy users. The company, which manages AUD$2bn of energy consumption, has been at the forefront in the development of exciting products, including robust spot forecasting methodology. We believe these innovative products can be rolled out on a global scale."

Buying ETT GmbH builds on M&C's foothold in Germany they already have offices in Esslingen and Munster.

Dan Adler, Partner at Lyceum Capital, M&C's owners, said: "In Creative Energy Solutions and ETT we've acquired businesses which have strong strategic footholds in their markets thanks to first class reputations, established client bases and track records of innovation and service quality."
