Making energy child’s play

Lego is to launch a renewable energy set to give schoolchildren the chance to build a solar-powered car or wind turbine.

The toy giant says that the Education Renewable Energy Add-On Set will give youngsters hands-on experience of renewable energy.

The set, which will be launched in the US this year, features a range of elements including an energy meter.

An activity pack providing six 45-minute lessons and four problem-solving activities enables children to explore renewable energy through Lego models.
