future Net Zero Standard with Carbon Expert joins UN’s Race to Zero

Our future Net Zero Standard with Carbon Expert has now been officially accepted as part of the UNFCCC’s Race to Zero. Race to Zero aims to mobilise groups and organisations outside of national governments to send a signal that businesses, cities and investors are united in meeting the Paris Agreement’s goals.

We are working with James Napier, creator of Carbon Expert, to get 10,000 companies measuring their carbon footprint using the standard within three years.

So join us on this mass mobilisation, visit the standard page and see what it means for your organisation - big or small, private or public sector, let us show how we as a nation can rebuild better post-Covid. On that note, I am hopeful this Wednesday’s budget will give Rishi Sunak, the Chancellor, a chance to showcase his net zero ambitions.

We need to facilitate infrastructure, finance and wider societal shifts, which means in some cases subsidies and grants and in other cases taxes - I personally believe a carbon tax will soon be on the horizon. We must not fear this, we must accept our taxation and economic systems will have to change for us to have a better future.

We are looking forward to building that future with you.
