Nissan launches long range LEAF

Nissan has launched a longer-range version of its best-selling electric vehicle (EV).

The new Nissan LEAF is claimed to be the world’s most advanced mass-market EV.

It has a driving range of 378km on a single charge, almost 50% more than its predecessor. Other updates include a one-pedal driving mode for both accelerating and braking and auto-parking technology.

The batteries have also been equipped with vehicle-to-grid technology, through which consumers can draw power and supply it to the grid.

The new EV will be on sale in Europe from January 2018.
