Businesses can maximise the benefits of technologies by aggregating them in a microgrid solution.
That’s the view of Christos Keramisanos, Power Systems Engineer at UK Power Networks Services, who was speaking at the Energy Live Future event at the National Space Centre in Leicester today.
He said there are various technologies available for businesses to reduce their costs and cut their carbon footprint as the UK transitions to a future energy system.
That includes energy storage, demand side management, electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies and self-generation.
Mr Keramisanos added while individual technologies add value to businesses, their benefits are maximised when these solutions are integrated and aggregated in a microgrid solution.
He said: “Each organisation has different drivers, priorities and requirements when investing in energy infrastructure projects.
“Our long term relationship approach and offering removes the technology risks of a one-off project. Our unique aim is to assist our customers transition into a low carbon era while they focus in their core business.”
